Kategorie: Artistic Practice

Bernard Simunovic’s artistic practice explores human presence, relationships and spatial perception through a reduced visual language. Working across painting, drawing and collage, his works investigate how lines, gestures and minimal structures can reveal subtle dynamics between individuals, forms and their surrounding space.

Rather than focusing on narrative representation, Simunovic’s compositions examine the relational fields that emerge between figures, environments and visual elements. Lines function as both structural and emotional forces, shaping proximity, distance and movement within the pictorial space.

Through processes of reduction and layering, the works seek clarity while maintaining openness. The resulting images invite a slower and more attentive form of viewing in which presence, interaction and atmosphere become perceptible through minimal means.

Simunovic’s works are held in private and public collections worldwide and have been exhibited internationally.
